Membership Committee/Ambassadors Committee:
To augment and retain membership
base by designing and implementing programs and services that meet the specific
needs of member businesses; initiating a year-round publicity campaign for the
organization; coordinating an ongoing recruitment for new members and act in the
capacity as year round. Ambassadors contact and service existing members to aid in
customer service and retention. To offer support services to all new and existing
Chamber members.

Central Business Alliance (CBA):
There are two separate committees overseeing the business in Southington/Plantsville, Milldale/Marion. Meets the third Thursday of each month.

Chamber Women:
The mission of the Chamber of Commerce Women's Group is to promote the individual and professional growth of women members through networking, service exchange, referrals and to be an influence in the community by offering educational, informative and creative programs for all women. Meets the second Thursday of each month.

Community Connection:
Want to be more involved in our community? Join this committee! The chamber has established a programs like "Training for Tomorrow — Today", and internship program for Juniors and Seniors at Southington High School. These students can learn more about what career path they want to pursue by interning at a Chamber business. The Chamber also has a Disaster Relief Program, which assists neighbors who may endure a disaster (like a home fire). Chamber businesses lend a hand by offering complimentary hotel stays, gift cards for meals at Chamber restaurants, etc. We also respond to issues as they arise where Chamber business may be able to make a difference.

Economic Development Committee:
Develop an economic business
cllimate conducive to market growth and expansion by supporting, coordinating
and implementing the economic development activity of the Greater Southington
region, utilizing the services of the Greater Southington Chamber of Commerce
member businesses together with resources provided by the local, state and
federal governments.

Economic Development Marketing Committee:
Develop an economic business climate conducive to market growth and expansion by supporting, coordinating and implementing the economic development activity of the Greater Southington region. Utilizing the services of the Greater Southington Chamber of Commerce member businesses together with the resources provided by the local, state and federal governments. Meets the first Friday of every month.
Finance Committee:
To review existing accounts and to suggest changes to existing finances.

Golf Committee:
Begins meeting in late spring to plan annual Chamber Cup golf tournament held in the fall featuring former major league players.

Government/Industry Relations Committee:
Respond to the needs of
businesses and employers by educating key employees on a variety of issues
surrounding government and legal affairs for businesses and human resources
professionals.

Legislative Committee:
Be a liaison between State Government and the Chamber of Commerce to initiate and explain regulations and new laws. Meets the second Wednesday of every month..

Marketing Committee:
Periodic meetings to establish printed materials or other avenues of promotion for new-members.

Scholarship Committee:
The Greater Southington Chamber of Commerce
established a scholarship fund to assist students in furthering their education. It
is the organization's goal through this program to help prepare students for their position
as future leaders in our community. There are two $500 scholarships awarded im May of every
year.

Special Events Committee:
Positions the Chamber of Commerce
as the community's primary Business Network through designing and
implementing an annual calendar of events and activities which will
encourage and promote positive interaction among Chamber of Commerce
member businesses.
